Evaluation partner to Immediate Theatre’s Voices of Change heritage programme

Live Projects was commissioned to evaluate the programme. Our approach was rooted in fieldwork and direct engagement: observing community sessions, volunteer interviews, informal conversations at events, and joining reflection days with the team. We spoke with partners, contributors and staff to capture a rounded picture of how people experienced and shaped the project. This ensured the evaluation reflected both the process of gathering and sharing stories and the impact on those involved. The evaluation highlighted how the project opened up new spaces for connection, learning and creativity. Volunteers and contributors gained confidence, skills and friendships through oral history, research and podcast production. The podcast reached broad audiences, helping listeners discover untold stories of migration and belonging in East London.
