Project Information Notice: Medway Heritage Place Evaluation

Information about the Medway Heritage Place project surveys.

About this survey

The survey is being carried out by Live Projects, the appointed independent evaluators for the Medway Heritage Place project, working on behalf of Medway Council.

We are collecting feedback to understand people’s experiences of heritage activity in Medway and to support the evaluation of the programme.

You may have been invited to take part by an organisation delivering an activity. Live Projects is leading the overall evaluation and central survey.

Your data and privacy

Live Projects is responsible for the central collection and analysis of survey responses.

  • The survey is anonymous and you will not be personally identified in any reporting.
  • Your responses will be used for research and evaluation purposes only.
  • Findings may be shared in anonymous summary form with Medway Council and organisations delivering activities.
  • Organisations may use anonymised feedback for their learning and evaluation.
  • We will not share any information that could identify you personally.

Taking part is voluntary and you can skip any questions.

About the questions

Some questions in the survey ask about you (for example your background and personal circumstances). These are optional and help us understand whether heritage activity is reaching a wide range of people.

You can choose not to answer any of these questions.

Your rights

You have rights in relation to your information, including the right to request access, correction or deletion of your responses, or to withdraw from the research.

If you have any questions about this survey or how your information will be used, please contact:

Legal basis

We process your responses on the basis of your consent, as you are choosing to take part in this survey.

How your data is stored

Survey responses are collected using a secure online survey platform (SurveyMonkey) and then downloaded and stored securely by Live Projects.

Access to data is limited to the evaluation team at Live Projects. Findings are shared in anonymous summary form with Medway Council.

Organisations delivering activities may receive anonymised responses relating to their own activity, where this supports their learning and evaluation.

How long we keep your data

We will keep survey data only for as long as necessary for evaluation and reporting purposes. This is typically for up to 5 years, after which data will be securely deleted.

Information for organisations delivering projects (grantees)

As part of the Medway Heritage Place programme evaluation, organisations delivering funded projects may be asked to provide information about their activities (for example through surveys, templates or reports).

This information is collected by Live Projects, the appointed independent evaluators, to understand what projects have delivered and what difference they have made.

  • Information provided will be used for evaluation and reporting purposes
  • Anonymised findings may be shared with Medway Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund
  • Information will be reported at project or programme level and will not identify individuals
  • Organisations may also use their own data and findings for their learning and evaluation

We aim to keep requests proportionate and practical, and organisations can provide estimates where needed.

Data retention and subject rights as explained above.
